Working with clients and client representatives, Licensed Site Professional services offered by Waypoint include directing the assessment, characterization, and, to the extent necessary, the cleanup process in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Massachusetts Contingency Plan 310 CMR 40.0000 (MCP) and other relevant regulations and laws.

Experience

John Thompson MS, LSP, President of Waypoint Environmental, has over 25 years of experience in environmental consulting. He has an undergraduate degree in Geology from the University of Maine, and a Master of Science Degree in Geology from the University of Rhode Island, with a concentration in New England glacial geology and hydrogeology.

As a result of the many property related issues in real estate, Mr. Thompson also studied real estate law at Bentley College and is a licensed real estate agent in Massachusetts.

He was a member of the first group of environmental professionals in Massachusetts to obtain Licensed Site Professional status and has filed LSP opinions on more than 100 sites across the Commonwealth. Mr. Thompson has completed more than 300 hours of continuing education in maintaining his license status.
